The standout addition to the 2027 Ram 1500 lineup is the Rumble Bee -- a purpose-built muscle truck constructed on an exclusive Quad Cab, short bed, widebody platform. At 5,575 mm (219.5 inches) long and 2,235 mm (88 inches) wide, with 330 mm (13 inches) removed from the standard Ram 1500 wheelbase, the Rumble Bee presents proportions that are entirely its own. A shorter, stiffer frame -- 10 per cent less flex -- creates sharper responses to driver inputs. Entry Rumble Bee and 392 variants wear 22-by-10-inch wheels with 285/45R22 all-season tires; Track Pack and SRT mount 22-by-12-inch wheels with 325/40R22 rubber -- the widest company production fitment since the Viper. Functional aerodynamic elements -- a 114 mm front splitter and 80 mm rear tailgate spoiler -- are standard on Track Pack and SRT, generating 87 kg (192 lbs) of downforce at speed.

Elsewhere in the 2027 lineup, a Satin Black Symbol of Protest fender badge joins the Tradesman, Black Express, Warlock, and Rebel. New Goldilocks Pearl-Coat (late availability) and the return of Flame Red Clear-Coat expand the colour palette. The TRX SRT widens the Ram 1500 body by 203 mm (eight inches) overall with composite fender flares, standard 35-inch tires on 18-inch Satin Black wheels, a Flame Red R-A-M flow-through grille, SRT badging at the grille and tailgate, and Flame Red front and rear tow hooks. The optional $13,495 Bloodshot Night Edition overlays a hand-painted Diamond Black Crystal Pearl-Coat upper with a Flame Red centre stripe and unique bodyside splash graphics.

The 2027 Ram 1500 builds on its benchmark interior quality with targeted upgrades across multiple trim positions. Big Horn Crew Cab with Level 2 Equipment Group gains passive entry as standard. Laramie adds standard rain-sensing wipers. Ram's 360-degree surround-view camera system is now standard on Limited, Limited Longhorn, and RHO, and optionally available on Laramie and Rebel Level 1 Equipment Groups for the first time. Powertrain

The eight powertrain options in the 2027 Ram 1500 all pair to a TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic and come with standard 4x4. The 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 eTorque (305 hp / 269 lb-ft) handles lighter loads with towing up to 3,674 kg (8,100 lbs). The 5.7-litre HEMI V8 -- available with or without eTorque hybridization -- produces 395 hp and 410 lb-ft in both forms; the eTorque version tows up to 5,157 kg (11,370 lbs). The TRX SRT feeds its 6.2-litre supercharged HEMI through the TorqueFlite 8HP95 automatic and a BorgWarner 48-13 full-time active transfer case with 4WD Auto, 4WD High, and 4WD Low (2.64:1 crawl ratio). Standard Launch Control enables a 0--96 km/h sprint of 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 190 km/h. The Rumble Bee SRT targets 3.4 seconds to 96 km/h with a 274 km/h top speed (targeted). TRX suspension uses second-generation Bilstein Black Hawk e2 adaptive performance shocks, Ram Active Terrain Dynamics, 30 cm (11.8 in.) of ground clearance, and up to 356 mm (14 in.) of rear axle travel on a Dana 60 rear axle with electronic locking differential.

The 14.5-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen -- the largest in the class -- operates on Atlantis architecture with five-times faster processing and a 0.05-second touch response. TRX includes wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, class-exclusive dual wireless charging pads, a multifunction switch bank below the screen, and optional Trailer Reverse Steer Control. The 12.3-inch digital cluster shows nearly two dozen display configurations; the full-colour HUD covers a 10-inch field of view with speed, gear, tachometer, navigation, and lane management data. TRX drive modes include Auto, Sport, Baja, Mud/Sand, Rock, Snow, Tow, Custom, and Valet -- each with a dedicated cluster display.

Hands-Free Active Drive Assist (Level 2+) is standard on TRX for 2027 -- making Ram the only truck manufacturer to offer this capability on a high-performance, off-road, gas pickup (alongside RHO). The system performs hands-off lane centering on approved roadways, anticipates curves with automatic speed reduction, monitors driver attention via infrared, and resumes control after driver override. Across the full lineup, safety technologies include Blind-spot Monitoring with Trailer Tow Detection, Trailer Reverse Steer Control, and the digital rearview mirror with tow mode.
